		<description>2- It also helps free up more room to bring in &lt;i&gt;multiple&lt;/i&gt; good players.

4- Our rotation has been good for a few years now, and Bonds has needed a savvy vet behind him since Kent left.  If we blow all our money on A-Rod, #7 really will come true because he'll have Kevin Frandsen hitting behind him.  

5- Everyone in every baseball city (as well as fourteen Expos fans in Montreal that haven't noticed they left yet) thinks Rodriguez should come to their team.  Just because a beat writer thought about it doesn't mean it'll happen.

That said, I'll be the first one cheering if it does happen.  I just don't think it particularly likely, and I don't think it would necessarily be the deus ex machina the Giants need to go all the way.</description>
