We Take Sports Seriously. But Not Ourselves.

It’s official, the Red Sox are World Series Champions (again)!

Red Sox Party

Now, we all know that fans of the Boston Red Sox are a little crazy when it comes to winning the World Series.

Last time the Red Sox won the World Series, back in 2004, there was quite the celebration.

So with this year’s celebration, let’s put the over-under around where it was last time: $100,000 in property damage and 22 arrests. Pretty impressive, but I think they can do better!!

I’m going to say that the 22 arrests will happen in Denver alone (because the 4 Rockies fans can’t take all the belittling).

So let’s start the voting, “price is right” style. Post comments with your picks for total arrests and total property damage without going over!

And while you’re at it, pass me some of that sweet, sweet, victory champagne!

  1. Inflation being a factor (not to mention the fanbase in question):

I start the bidding at 30 arrests and $130,000 in property damages.

  2. The innocent feeling of finally winning the Series in ‘04 eventually morphs and hardens into bitter alcoholic entitlement. 45 arrests, $220,000.

  3. Hmm, a high bid here by Mr. Popularity. But if anybody can rack up that kind of numbers, it’s the northeast.

    55 arrests, $240,000.

  4. I had a feeling it would be higher than that as soon as my buddy Rob from Boston called me and said “I just saw someone flip a Jeep and riot police are chasing us!”
